ตำลึงเป็นใบเถาเลื้อย มีอายุหลายปี เป็นพืชตระกูลเดียวกับบวบ น้ำเต้า และแตงกวา เถามีลักษณะกลมสีเขียว ผิวเรียบไม่มีขนรูปร่างคลาย 5 เหลี่ยม ขอบใบเว้าลึกเป็นแฉก ปลายแผ่กว้างออกเป็น 5 กลีบ ดอกออกตรงซอกใบ
สรรพคุณทางยา
- ตำลึง เถา รสจืดเย็น เป็นยาเย็นดับพิษ แก้ตาช้ำ ปวดตาได้
